Whether you’re relaxing at the beach, hanging out at home, or traveling, a good book is your perfect companion. Summer reading helps students maintain and grow their literacy skills while discovering the joy of reading for fun. Let’s make this a summer filled with imagination, curiosity, and page-turning excitement.
This year, we invite our students entering grades K-4 to participate in the Revere Summer Reading Challenge. The challenge encourages students to explore reading in creative and meaningful ways through activities such as visiting the library, keeping a reading journal, reading outdoors, learning through nonfiction texts, and even writing and illustrating their own books. Students can also access district-supported literacy programs through Clever, mCLASS, and the Collaborative Classroom Bookroom. By completing at least 8 of the 9 challenge activities, students can earn a prize while building strong reading habits and preventing summer learning loss. Copies of this challenge will be sent home with students. Please bring in your completed paper the fist week of school!
